Default Becky's Garden

Does anyone know why Becky's Garden is missing its home and flowers? I have missed them!

I don't know who has been putting out the house in recent years but various people have adopted the job of putting out flowering plants previous to the house over the years. For many years our neighbor did it, and then I did for four or five years. When someone stops, someone else seems to pick up the tradition.

Several months ago, Becky lost her job. Her house was recently foreclosed by the bank.

Just a sign of the economy, I guess.

I heard that Becky sent some sob story to ABC about financial difficulties and she hasn't been able to pay her bills or do costly repairs (especially the mold spores in the basement) so they are sending out the Extreme Makeover Home Edition team with Tyge Pennington in a couple of weeks.

The new DES set back rules are going to make it awfully hard for the team to build...

They have 2 years to replace in kind... and that clock does not run during litigation so if they are going toe to toe with the bank they could argue that the clock is not running. After 2 years sans legal wrangling... well then if they can show it is a buildable lot it could replaced under RSA 483-B:10, Non-conforming Lot of Record. If they can't show it's a buildable lot of recorded then they are pretty much out of luck.

I think she read shore thing's post and figured she'd better get going before her time ran out.
