I thought that some of the Winni community might be interested in the great efforts of many of the Lions clubs of the Region that end up impacting our smaller lake directly...

The Lions do indeed do so much and the unfortunate thing is that: 1. So much of it is done with little fanfare and resulting little or no public notice. and 2. the Lions, like so many other fraternal or civic organizations are seeing a decline in their membership(s), resulting in some local units closing their doors.
It seems that there is a decided downturn in interest in particiipating in these organizations, and those who try to hold things together often end up being the only ones doing any of the activities, resulting in burnout. Again, thanks for the link and hopefully they will be able to continue to fund this fine camp for these kids.
