Top of the Town - Belmont, NH
I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with Top of the Town over in Belmont, but it is one of the best hidden jewls in the Lakes Region. It has been in operation for over 20 years, and the owners, Joe and Kathy are two of the best people you would ever want to meet. Joe provides the entertainment(he is a world renound musician), and Kathy runs the bar. Joe's music gets everyone, young and old, up and dancing, and Kathy adds a little "liquid courage" to guys like me who have two left feet!
The food is also great and very reasonably priced. They have a very inexpensive early bird special for the older clientele. Their prime rib is excellent and they also work wonders with duck. Everything I have eaten there has been great, and I have been going there since I was a child with my family. In short, give it a try, you won't be dissapointed. Make sure you introduce yourself to Joe and Kath, and you will be treated like family. Just watch out for Jane, she is trouble! |

Is it located on the road across from the Belknap Mall next to the old Lakes Region Jeep?

Back to the 80's
When my Dad was alive...loved to go to the Margate to dine and dance to the tunes of Joe on the piano. Mom and Dad loved to dance, and he would play and play and play, and they would dance and dance and dance.
Great memories. Will have to try it out. We just never think of it over in Alton.

There's often a discounted gift certificate on www.restaurant.com for Top of The Town. I've seen a $25 gift certificate sell for just $2 - that's a substantial savings towards a nice time out!
