Hmmm ... If the moon is the bright, fuzzy object left of center, what is the round, dimly lit object to the right, near the tree?

Looks like ... another moon.

Reflection in the lens. I think maybe my Christmas lights on the house were affecting it. Plus I had it on long exposure. Maybe that made a reflection in the lens?

UFO? My Grandfathers Ghost?

Talking Fuzzy Moon

Great picture Lakesrider!

Perhaps you can post it in Winnipesaukee.com's Photo Gallery?
We don't have enough moon pictures and then it will come up in thumbnails here on the Forum.

Default Orb

Lakesrider, as soon as I looked at the photo I said to myself "she's got an orb"....it is a phenomenon that is quite fascinating. It is a presence of spirit. In one of my many, many photos that I have taken around the lake I had one orb show up. Maybe I can figure out how to post the picture. It was taken also at night . I have a good idea of who was visiting me. Has your grandfather passed recently?

Default orbs

I can't figure out how to insert a photo image It asks for the url of my image. They are all in Picassa. ? Oh well......My picture was taken at Town Docks in Meredith.
You can Google the topic and see some amazing photos, but one of the best examples of this phenomenon happened to a friend of mine. She had a home and garden tour scheduled as she has absolutely spectacular gardens. She does this every year and donates the money to charity, a shelter for battered women. Her mother had died several days before the event and she decided to go ahead with it. She gathered her strength and made a prayer to her mom to be by her side that day. In the crowd of people who attended there was a professional photographer who took many photos. He contacted her a few days later, almost apologetically, but he had something to share with her that was astonishing. In two pictures, there was a huge sphere of semi transparent color, one over the garden and again over her house. He knows his equipment, what it does and what it doesn't do, and couldn't explain these images. He asked if she had had a loss in her family recently. I have seen the photos. Believe me, they are .......well, they take your breath away.
