off topic forum
I am wondering if there is a way for those of us who have NE in common, to have an off topic forum.
Just wondering.

That has come up before and was almost unanimously rejected by other members. Click here for the thread.
When you have questions about the site check the Support Forum. There is a good chance it has come up before. |

I know it's been suggested here, and it's not
a good idea. I can see why, as this is specifically about the Lake, and the Lakes Region. Paid for by all things Lake Winnipesaukee.
However, I think there are many of us who have the love of the Lakes Region in common, who might like to discuss other topics. And I mean other topics from a New Englander's point of view. From this to that. Whatever. I am not computer literate enough to go to Yahoo and start a group, but I think it might really be fun. Anybody else think as I do?

There are other forums
Lady Di -- Please don't take this as an attempt to say "go away!", but this subject has been raised before and it seems the vast majority wants to keep the site and forum as a "lakes area" forum.
Wolfeboro Online's forum area has a section for discussion forums that include areas not involving Wolfeboro and the surrounding communities. I know that there are posters from this site (myself included) that also subscribe to that site as well. You may find users who are interested in "conversations" such as ones you may want to start. If you are interested and have not had the opportunity to check out Wolfeboro Online forums, here is a link (if I copied it right): http://tourist.wolfeboro.com/index.p...BB2&file=index Again, not an attempt to "drive you away", only an attempt to help you find a forum or bulletin board where you can discuss those items that you want to discuss, unfortunately items that do not fit the framework of this website. Hope this helps. Dave

an idea
I've created 3 forums in the past and I always could create a New England based forum or I could give you the link where you could start your own forum for free which is really good and useful. But of course, I'm not trying to take people away from here. Just a thought, let me know what you think.
