Thumbs up O's Steak and Seafood

Had the opportunity to try O's Steak and Seafood in Laconia last night with my island neighbor friends. We decided to go by boat and since my neighbor was recovering from back surgery and walking with a cane, we asked if it was possible to be picked up at a nearby dock. They graciously told us no problem even though they have never done this in the past.

Appetizers consisted of escargot, Caesar salad, home made bread, chef salad and salad wedge. All were served and presented first class and were delicious. I had the Caesar salad and the dressing is obviously home made and has a light tangy taste to it and is quite good. I tried one of my neighbors escargot and while I am not normally a "slug" fan, these were quite good, actually extremely good!

For the main course I had the 16 oz. prime New York strip which was simply amazing and cooked to perfection. The 16 oz is the smallest cut, they also offer a 24 and 32 oz cut, the 16 was plenty as I took some of it home in a doggy bag. It was one of, if not the best strips I have ever had! For those of you who like strips, you know how hard it is to get a real good one at local restaurants. Fear not, this strip was better than strips I have had at Ruth's Chris, Mortons or the Palms!!

My wife had the cowboy steak (rib eye) with the lobster mac and cheese. She could not stop complimenting how delicious both were.

My neighbor had the Kobe strip steak which he simply said was amazing. Unfortunately I do not remember what his wife had but she also could not stop complimenting the food and service.

Food, service, presentation and atmosphere were top notch and we most definitely will be going back to O's!!

Dan

We love O's, one of our favorite places around the lake. The owner, same one that owns Canoe and North End, has either allready opened or will be opening another one of them in Concord. We live in Wolfeboro year round and come summer leave O's and other restaurants that don't take reservations to the tourists. O will only take reservations for groups of five or more.

My neighbor is close friends with one of the marina owners at the end of Paugus Bay. He let us park at his his place.

I loved the O! I recommend this restaurant to everyone I meet that wants to go out to eat in the Lakes Region! I have been to the Canoe and the North End, but I love the O! I went there and Had seafood risotto in a fancy banana shaped dish, and my x boyfriend had prime rib. He said it was very good, and the risotto was excellent. It is a little bit expensive, so I only go there on special occasions. They also have clever drink specials. I think I had a Pearl Harbor, which they called a Center Harbor for $6
