Ledgewater Steak House, Bristol
Stumbled upon this restaurant yesterday. It's in the same spot that used to house the old Cliff Lodge in Bristol:

We went out that way to hit Pasquanny Inn (sp?) for brunch, but they now only serve dinner. We ended up at Big Catch for lunch. Right across the street from the lake, and the food was pretty good. I had eaten at Cliff Lodge several times in the past and yes, the views - especially the sunsets, were incredible. Even if the food is mediocre, having a drink at sunset will be worth the trip. I'll report back after our visit to the restaurant.

I was there last summer. Terrific steaks and they really did a nice job with the remodel of the Cliff Lodge building. Here is my forum review:

Another excellent dinner
We ate at the Ledgewater Steakhouse again last night. Excellent food, excellent service, great prices and a tremendous experience all the way around. This, in my opinion, is one of the best (if not the best) restaurants in this area. Well worth the drive to Bristol.

I clicked the link in the first post because I don't do Facebook.
It says: "The Ledgewater Steakhouse.com is out of business." That can be easily understood to mean that the restaurant is out of business. If not for the post above describing a recent visit, I would have stopped considering it. How does that happen? Did they unsubscribe to their website developer or something? |
