Cool Pizza Barn

Not one to go out of my way to start a thread when it comes to a bad restaurant review, but here it goes. Been going to the Pizza Barn for 20+ years (maybe once or twice a year) and my last two visits have been subpar. We always go for the barn size pepperoni (love the excess pepperoni they put on it) among a few other items. Obviously, with the amount of pepperoni they put on there is bound to be grease but the past two times our pizza has legitimately been swimming in grease. Last night there was a POOL of grease when the pizza came out. If I had to venture a guess it was likely because the pizza was undercooked. The regular cheese pizza was okay and just as expected. Ordered several apps including two orders of buffalo wings and only got one small container of blue cheese to work with, had to go up, wait, and request more.

Although packed, it was extremely slow (over an hour wait from when we ordered until we got our pizza) although our waitress hastily informed us of this issue about ten minutes after we sat down.

I like the pizza barn, I want it to do well and never wish bad upon a restaurant but just be leery before heading over there on a Sunday night. Only reason I voice my opinion as I would assume for most Winnipesaukee residents, this is quite the drive to get there (Only 25 minutes for us in Moultonboro). I'd hate for others to get their hopes up like we did only to have a rather subpar experience. Who knows, maybe I've just had really bad luck the past two times going and others have had better experience recently.

Phantom Gourmet has had them on their show as a place worth driving to.

I remember that! Again, I might have just had some bad luck. Last night was a Sunday summer night and it was relatively crowded. However, I don't know if crowded is a true excuse for a subpar service and product. I just want to hear some positives before venturing back there.

Default Phantom Gourmet

I did go to the Pizza Barn a couple of times in the past and I wasn't impress. When I saw the Phantom Gourmet show on the Pizza Barn, I was wondering if I went at a bad time, or whether it was a 'paid show'.
