We have guests from Alabama, California, and Ohio that would like to climb to the top of Rattlesnake Island. What is the procedure for obtaining permission to be allowed to do this? Where is the dock located that should be used if permission is obtained? There are about six ambitious relatives and good friends that anxiously await a response. 🐻

Has to be W. Rattlesnake in Holderness as Rattlesnake Island is, well, an island.

Rattlesnake Island access at SE corner of island if you have a boat and have donated to LRCT. Nice path up with great views of "The Lake". See LRCT website for details if needed.
Rattlesnake at Squam is a great hike, but not an island and view is of Squam. Can't go wrong with either although the Rattlesnake Island has some requirements. |

Understand the confusion. It's Rattlesnake Island on the BIG lake. 😁

LRCT owns the SE half of the interior of Rattlesnake Island. The island association owns the NW interior half. The boundary is marked by signage.

Our guests climbed "Mt. Rattlesnake" this morning. They enjoyed the great view. Thanks to Forum members for their help. It is greatly appreciated. 🐻
