geese on raft

For the first time in 27 years on the lake, our raft was invaded by geese last night with the obvious disgusting resultant. Any ideas for an effective geese repellant for a raft? Everything I see is not raft appropriate. thank you

Just used smaller type Roman candles…hold them with a leather glove and point at geese……working so far

You can purchase a duck caller, turkey caller, and geese caller.

A few quacks will make your life better.

Our association uses nighttime blinking lights from Away with Geese to repel geese from our beach and shoreline.

We have one light on shore and one floating in our swim area. Having both has proven highly effective in preventing geese from doing geese things on land, our raft and our docks. It does not repel ducks, however, who often feel the raft is theirs to do with as they will.

We have 3 at our association. They work great

We had a huge problem with geese on the golf course in our town. Purchased the Away with Geese devices and the geese are totally gone….

One and done-so far. Gross though! it's easy to see why they're so harmful to the lake. Shocking they can't be culled.

Didn't have the problem before the proliferation of lawns near the water, and the restrictions in the watershed on hunting.

The State would need to come up with another way to handle it.

I can tell you exactly how they started. A lady in Wolfeboro started feeding 2 of them many, many years ago when they were almost never seen, they were a novelty. Those two grew to 7 and those grew to 20 something. Then they began to spread out and here we are.

Obviously that is a problem.

But the State has to come up with another solution, as they have plenty of food, and no real predators in the current situation.

They sure do before they destroy the lake. But I was just telling you how they started staying here. That was probably 50 years ago and it took all this time for them to overrun the lake.
