I was at Church Landing for brunch today. Price is the same but the menu is a bit different than a few months ago. The fountain that used to provide the day's special concoction is gone. Their buffet only had breakfast stuff plus green beans and salad. Previously there was a chicken dish or a fish dish. The 'carved' meat was roast pork...just okay. Would love to get my hands on their chocolate chip bread pudding recipe...very lovely.
The place was packed at $20/each plus tip plus drinks. The nice thing is they don't rush you out of there. Music was good too. We think the White Mountain Hotel in Conway serves up a better Sunday brunch if you're up for a little ride (and shopping afterward???). Not as pricey either. If anyone's in the Durham area on a Sunday, the New England Center at UNH also has a very good Sunday brunch. |
