2 Eagles in Melvin Village today
I saw two Eagles doing their...ummm...ritual dance, so to speak in the sky over Melvin Village at around 6 am, this morning. I almost crashed my truck watching them falling. Then coming home this afternoon I looked off to the right and they were flying right next to my truck. They were flying down the power lines near the Moultonborough/Tuftonboro town line. By the time I could get my truck whoohed up, they were about 1000 feet up on the thermals. I got home to Suissevale and headed down to the beach. I caught this shot of one of them but they never flew overhead and headed back south. Maybe they are nesting in Melvin Village area somewhere.....?

Eagles
They are magnificent to watch, aren't they? I live off Meredith Neck Rd. and see them every year at this time flying, playing, air dancing over Fish Cove. Saw one grab a fish and take it to the other in a tree across the Cove. They are amazing birds to watch and to be reminded of just how large their wingspan is!
