Several years ago, some members organized a snow dance to bring in some snow. It's time to get the band together for a rain dance! While most, if not all of the lakes in the area are full, I don't expect that to last if we don't get a good rain soon.
We went for a walk on the Cotton Valley Rail Trail this morning. A portion of it runs along the Smith River in Wolfeboro. The river is at July/August levels, pretty much just a trickle. Normally at this time of year it is overflowing it's banks. Only a few days of rain showing in the 10-day forecast, and all with a less than 50% chance of precipitation. Start dancing! |
