We drove to Patrick's on Tuesday forgetting that they are closed that day. So we decided to give the Axe and Ale a try. We were pleasantly surprised. As noted it is quite large inside and they have a large U shaped bar which we sat at.

It was not too busy at 4:30 PM so that might have factored into the good service. They have a very good selection of draft beer so I got my Guinness and J got her Tuckerman's pale ale.

I had the special sandwich, a grilled turkey BLT which was very good. It was a substantial sandwich with lots of hand carved turkey. J had the roasted beet salad which she said was excellent.

We will be back.
