I'm thinking this 150' rule is really a bit much. In flying, planes are "normally" discouraged from flying close to each other..although I don't know if any particular distance is mentioned in the FARs. However, "Formation Flying" is authorized ..where planes fly within a few feet of each other if such arrangements are Agreed To by the participating pilots.. and they fly as a Unit with respect to Air Traffic Control. (ATC)

When did someone come up with the 150' rule on the lake..? Just wondering.
