Washingtion has been eclipsed for the fastest wind gust record: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100127/...record_toppled Something people often don't realize is that Mt Washington is not the highest peak on the East Coat either. That distinction belongs to Mt Mitchell in North Carolina.....
