Default Alton Swansong

Friday I made it 35 salmon caught and landed on flies since April 2nd, nailing four in the river in the middle of a midge hatch, using a little bead-head on a dead drift. As the sun warmed the water, a cloud of midges fluttered up off the surface, driving the spring salmon nuts! My buddy Trav clued in first, switching to topwater and I followed suit right away. They were boiling all along the far bank, and it didn't take long after that:.

At the very start of this video, if you look at the upper right side of the frame, you'll see a feeding Salmon leap as I nab mine.

It's about peak now for Alton, action moves north to Wolfeboro.
