What would you have wanted him to say? It's obvious that this was an act of terror, regardless of who is responsible. That should go without saying. Who would you have wanted the president to offend in making his comments? Other than a blanket condemnation of whoever is responsible (which was done), there's really no more that can
responsibly be said at this time, because right now we have no idea who did this.
As far as "vocalizing the cause," what cause are you talking about? We have no idea right now what motivated the coward(s) responsible.
