My favorite rainy day activity--with or without kids--is The Flume. In the rain there's more water and less people--a twofer! Cheap disposable ponchos are available in the gift shop. Take them to The Basin afterwards. Excellent lunch or dinner nearby is Gypsy Cafe in Lincoln.
