There have been a few music related threads here before but with summer coming and hopefully better days ahead I thought it was time for another music thread.
I grew up with 5 brothers and 2 sisters and different music could be heard eminating from all our bedrooms at any given time. I think we got it from Mom who today at 86 still loves it when she hears a song by the Moody Blues, Beatles, Bee Gees as well as music from her own generation. As a kid I fell asleep at night with The Who cranking from one brothers room, Beatles in the next, Aerosmith coming from down the hall, John Denver coming from the attic and Sinatra playing in the kitchen. It was awesome. If music is as important to you as it is to me, then you know what I mean when I say the first few notes or chords of a favorite song can take you right back to a place and time and who you were with. Everyone has favorites. In some cases you may not even know why it's a favorite other than it just "hits a nerve". I have 2 requests: -1.What are your absolute top 3-5 songs. Songs that no matter how many times you've heard it, you just can't get enough. and artist that performed them? (share a You Tube link if you like) -2.What was the first album you bought? I'm hoping this will uncover some great songs I can add to my music library. Thanks for playing and have a fantastic summer!! Here's a couple of mine: Bee Gees---"Fanny Be Tender" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgDbE6WOyws Joe Bonamassa---"Mountain Time" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiMqvPYPvQ0 Seals and Crofts---"Hummingbird" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q97QecyanZw Roxy Music---"More Than This" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOnde5c7OG8 Glen Campbell---"Wichita Lineman" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HFCuBLAjXo Andrea Bocelli/Sarah Brightman "Time To Say Goodbye" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4L_yCwFD6Jo My first album was "Who's Next by The Who
