The warm and fuzzy feeling should come with your ability to get your second shot.
In a perfect world, it would be better, in my personal non-professional opinion, if you could make other airport arrangements for your guest. You’ve given yourself a very tight time window. Stuff happens. Get your shot,go home and get on with your life.
