Strange Waves...Weather-Related?
I've been looking out at the same waters since the 1950s, and never seen this continuous pattern of waves. These "wave-bumps" occupy about 500-feet of length, and don't appear to be moving. (But an hour later, they're definitely different).
Any guesses? The waves are not parallel to either shoreline, and appear to be slowly churning. This picture shows about half of the waves. (Another three "bumps" are to the right). No boats or barges were seen or heard—and this is at daybreak. I don't think it's our lake-monster "Winni". |
