Default Nice Video

My job relocated me to many places in the US. But there is no place as special as the Lakes Region. Winnipesaukee has been my home since the 50s. In the late 90s, I moved to Winnisquam because of taxes and the population explosion. I can't bear to leave.

Now retired, I live here year-round. I enjoy lake boating, mountain hiking skiing, and everything in between. I love being active.

My family is in New England. They visit me often, so I don't have to go elsewhere. They love to spend time in the Lakes Region. Vermont, Texas, and Connecticut where my daughters live are beautiful, but their heart is the Lakes Region.

I have many friends in Florida, Arizona, and Colorado who look forward to their annual trip to the Lakes Region. Some even decided to make NH their permanent home. A Florida couple, who are my neighbors can't believe how much they miss, the 4 seasons. Now call NH their home.

I have 3 couples staying here because of Milton. They call Sarasota County their home. All had warnings from their insurance companies that may have limited coverage. I pray they will be OK. My cousin is here from Ft Meyers, the community he lives in was struck by a tornado. He has no idea if his beautiful home is safe. All are talking about moving North.

I have discovered the Rangeley Lake area. Very beautiful. A lot cheaper and low tax. I bought a farmhouse for investment. I am planning a family holiday at the farm. Saddleback is a beautiful mountain and plenty of trails for snowshoeing and x-country skiing. I just might move here because of the solitude. To each his or her own.
