Default A nice Saturday evening

After learning about new ownership at "Chez Bastille" from the web site, my wife and I dined there this past Saturday night. Although it had the typical growing pains of a new extablishment, we had a great time. It was a cool Saturday night, when we entered the restaurant, we were immediately greeted with a warm, New England Inn feel.

The scotch sour and house Merlot were excellent. We ordered the soup which our waitress warned us would take extra time because it was made after it was ordered. It was worth waiting for... My Filet Mignon was good.. not the best but very enjoyable. My wife's stuffed shrimp special was great.
We had the bananas Foster for dessert which was out of this world.

There were several diners who had cold food but the excellent waitresses handled the situations very well and everyone seemed satisfied. Our food was perfectly done.

We will return during the winter. We truly enjoyed the warmth of both the fireplace and the employees.
