I have to agree with Jeffk.
Right of way was less the issue than the 150' rule. And, like many others, I will try to steer clear of slower moving or stopped vessels regardless whether I am the stand on vessel or not. If I can't maintain 150' feet of clearance I drop down to headway until I can get clear. After all, it's not like I'm in a hurry to get anywhere when I'm on the lake. Kinda defeats the purpose of being out there in the first place, doesn't it? ![]() |
