Rossi's Rt. 104 just off I93 in New Hampton
We had dinner there last night and this must be the best kept secret in the lakes region. I must admit we drove past for years but about 10 years ago stopped by and it has become a favorite. The Italian specials rival Boston's north side and for quite a while I have even looked at a menu just get what sounds right from the specials list.
Last night I broke my trend and ordered the prime rib special while my wife had one of the Italian specials. My prime was as good as I have ever eaten and my wife's was as expected, excellant. Margo is the owner and she oversees the dining room and the kitchen. Salads are always crisp. The Italian dressing is made on site and Margo will sell you some to take home. I usually order the blue cheese dressing and a quart of the house special to take home. We didn't have time for dessert last night but they too have always been good. The curb appeal is less than many places but food and service is great. I have eaten all over the world and Rossi's ranks real high for value in my book. |
