There is a missing bouy off Parker Island.
One of the white/black bouys was not there today. Does anyone else know about this or was I just not seeing it? |

They were both definitely there on Saturday afternoon when I passed by. If one went missing it was within the last couple days.

I've noticed that a lot of bouys are broken this year and also found a couple near Bear were missing early in the season. Do the bouys stay in over the winter?

They do stay in during the winter. The ice takes a toll on them and often moves them. I'm not sure what they are all made from but several of them are sunk. If you go through Sally's Gut, you can see several of them on the bottom.

I was out there again today (yay 2 days in a row) and noticed they were both there.
I must not have seen them (or thought the western one was the eastern one...or something) OOPS! |
