I would appreciate any suggestions regarding service for a Honda BF 90 outboard in the lakes region.
Nice 4 stroke but it smokes when you first start the engine (particularly if the engine was left trimmed all the way down). I suspect oil seepage and perhaps it needs a valve adjustment. The motor has done this since it was new (note, the engine now has 525 hours). As I purchase the motor new, I did have it in once for the suggested service and the repair shop claimed they adjusted the valves but I have my doubts... Thanks... |
