Yes, we keep one at our cottage. Since we share the place with relatives, each spending about 2 weeks from June through September, each family writes in the journal typically at the conclusion of their 2 weeks. Topics include what the family did while they were there, what they saw, where they ate, etc. I remember writing one passage about the strange empty bug shells that were clinging to the walls and screens on the porch and wondering what type of bug came out of them. It looked like some huge spider emerged but that wasn't what it was. It turned out to be dragonflys.
