Default Insurance Agent Referral ?

Need to purchase home insurance for a condo. Any suggestions for an Insurance Agent in the Lakes area.

Within the Gilford-Laconia-Meredith-Alton-Tilton-Belmont areas

Thanks,
Bigdog

Just a suggestion BD,make sure you only buy the policy you need. The assoc. carries a master policy on the structure so it;s not the same as what you;d purchase for a self owned property.

I agree with this, however condo association coverages vary widely among association. Bylaws don't keep up with the times. You may find that the association may have to change its coverage and bylaws in order to provide complete coverage with today's condo policies.

My association created in 1978, completely revamp its policy and bylaws. Results in savings for all overall by preventing overlaps.

I totally agree, that's why it is important when buying a condo to fully review condo docs and bylaws fully. Buyers remorse won't save you in hindsight. Having owned several in NH I am well versed in the pitfalls that can affect some associations when use of due diligence is not put forward.

I went to many agents in the area. All are eagar to sell me a policy without even bothering to check out the current condo association policy. I found out about it when I went directly to an insurance company on line. I was fortunate the on line agent check out the condo policy and mentioned that there can be savings for everybody if the association change to a new policy. I present it to the board and they made the changes. I think insurance agencies are commission based. They are only watching out for themselves.

I use Noyes Ins. right next to the Volvo dealership in Meredith. The office is so friendly, and I feel as though they are really watching out for what I need, not what they want to sell.

Let us know how you make out.

Default Insurance Agent Referral ?

Some feedback to Forum....

I called the insrance Agnecy which provides the 'Master Insurance Coverage' for the entire condo complex, to get a quote for my own policy coverage for
inside the condo. They gave me what I though was a very high quote !
Actually, I don't pay that amount for my primary residence: 3BR, 3 Baths, 2400SF, 1 Acre down here in MA.

BTW, that Agnecy name is local, but has never been mentioned in any Forum referral.....

I then called Allstate for an insurance quote on condo. Happens to be the same insurance provider, as the current condo owner uses.....
Allstate was referred by a Form member ! Long story short, Allstate, for the same coverage, came in $200 less per year than the other Agency mentioned.

NTS (Note to self), SHOP AROUND !!!! You can save money !

Thanks everyone for your feedback, much appreciated !

Default Insurance Agent Referral ?

Thanks RobMac...... Haven't officially made the purchase yet.

R.E. Closing late Jan. hopefully, fingers and toes crossed ! Still a few hurdles to manage as part of the mortgage process.

God willing, I'll be a Lakes Region homeowner soon !
