Remember -- around rocks and shoals, in inlets, around structure and through channels, it's always thinner. Sometimes deceptively so. Regardless, little of what we say here will deter those who are intent on venturing out on the ice. There have already been some sleds dunked & recovered in Wentworth and Winnipesaukee. Now comes truck season.

Be careful out there!
