Default But no mention of Lake Winni

I loved the video and feel guilty voicing any criticism, but I was bummed there was no mention of Lake Winnipesaukee (unless I missed it). Laconia was mentioned (because of bikey week) and they had a nice shot of Castle in the Clouds, but nothing about the Smile of the Great Spirit.

We could prolly compile a lits of a couple hundred honorable mentions that didn't make the cut, but...meh.

Though Winnipesogee and Contoocook are always fun to throw in the mix. Folks from elsewhere have an especially hard time with the latter.

By way of context...a couple months ago there was a similar parody by some Minnesotans. So this vid is a couple degrees of separation from the original. Kinda like Dr. Demento doing a cover of a Weird Al Yankovich parody.

Hmmmm. Actually, I'll drop my .02 on an omission. Left out one of my favorite Abenaki placenames - Gonic.

Sounds like sumpin' a sailor would get on shore leave. "Boy, I went ashore last week. And am all itchey now. I hope I ain't got the gonic!"

Loved the parody but I too was bummed with no mention of Winni and when I saw his name, Wisecarver, I knew that I had seen him before. His family was on my son's paper route when he was in HS at Timberlane. I talked with him a couple of times when he was in HS - very nice kid. Now he's 32 - ouch!

Here is a photo of Christian (top row with knit hat on) when he and my son (2nd from right bottom row) were on the Know-It Alls on Channel 11 in HS.

The gal in the vid also went to Timberlane - she's a friend of my friend's niece - talk about convulated, sounds just like NH lol
