It's awesome. We love sitting at the bar, but not sure it's a "lounge" in the way that a previous poster mentioned.

Family-owned and run; great food, great service. And it's accessible by boat!! What's not to love?

Agreed- there are probably 8-10 seats at the bar. Great place!

(not pickin' at you at all....)

But that reminds me of a Bert and I skit...

Tourist: "How do I get to Bangor Street from here?"
Bert: "Go a ways down this road and turn left at John Parker's ol' farm. Stay on that a ways until you get to where the old Community Church was before it burnt and make a right there - that's Bangor Street."

(Like how the heck was the tourist supposed to know these things?)

Ha! And that's in town. Out in the hills we have a little more fun. My wife yells at me to pipe down a bit giving directions to folks lost in the puckahbrush.

Ah-yeh...you 're off from where yer wahntin' to be goan. Gonna wahnt ta spin yer buggy 'round an' go back to the fowa-connahs, mehbe 100 rods the othah way.

Yah'll know yer gettin' close when you reckin into view the old Chamberlin fahmstead, ovah to whay-ya the centennial elm use ta be 'afore it come down with the Dutch elm - 'twas a shame the town had ta take her daown. Welp, pass by the Chamberlin farm and their mow field where Choate Paige gut 'is Model-A tracter spinnin a stahm in the mudruts last spring - got whut that numbskull deserved runnin thet whilst the groand was still saturated with snowmelt.

Juss beyahnd thet yer gonna come to a small brook - thar'll prolly be a turtle on 'is favourite rock sunnin' himself. Used to be a tanyard there way back where'd they'd wash the hides and it ahll stahnk to high heavuns.

Well once yer at the fowa connahs, yer gone take the old stage road that used to be the main route to Cahn-kid afore the state road came in. Now listen good now, 'cause here's where things staht to get a little bet complexified if you're ain't from 'round these pahhts.

Default ....here's your sign

My bad. That Penny Candy store reference was more for nostalgic purposes than anything else.

After all the direction talk (and it was entertaining) I gotta point out that Overlake97 was asking where Tortilla Flats is. Overlake, if you're still out there, I know of one in Merrimack, NH. There may be others?
