Default Fratellos!

Glad to see all the positive comments about Fratellos. Great place! We go there every year. I would suggest you try to get a table upstairs or in the sun room. Table for two by the bar is nice. The first floor dining area is kind of boring.

Went to Fratello's a few weeks ago and it was great. The "Sun Room" was perfect. Fratello's Manchester location is great as well.

from the Daily Sun

Quote:
LACONIA — Twenty-two years after the red brick landmark in Lakeport that last housed Indian Head Bank became Fratello's Italian Grille the restaurant is about to undergo a change.
Chris McDonough, who with his brothers Mark and Mike owns the restaurant and its companion in Manchester, presented plans to the Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA) this week to replace the solarium with an indoor dining room and add an outdoor deck. He told the board that the solarium has become difficult to heat in the winter and cool in the summer and demand for outdoor dining in the warmer months has grown.
The 740-square-foot solarium will be replaced with an enclosed room of the same dimension, crowned by a tower with a faux copper roofed tower overlooking Union Avenue. The deck, with 575 square feet of space, will line the north side of the building, above the main entrance.
This week the ZBA unanimously granted the variance required to extend the deck into the setback from Union Avenue, but the deck will be no nearer to Union Ave. than the existing building.

Default Lunch...

Heading for Concord, Wifey and I stopped by at Fratello's to have lunch this past Tuesday.

It was a split second decision that occured when the light at Union and Elm was red. Our car was positioned to either wait out the light or turn into their parking lot.

WE CHOSE WISELY!

Fratello's is our place for great food and service (sometimes piano as well) at dinner time. The prices are reasonable but because I usually pay the dinner check for a party of five to ten, my wallet was apprehensive about lunch.

While checking out the menu Wifey said "look, they have a quick service lunch menu on the back."

I couldn't believe the prices! It's a steal of a deal!

We had:

Us...bread sticks with oo and butter

Wifey...salad and Sicilian Sausage Soup

Me...Fish Chowder and the BEST BLT EVER!

The check came to $16. With tip I paid $20.

Here's a list of places that would likely have cost us more:

Friendly's
Panera Bread
Moe's
Chipotle
Pizzeria Uno
Tilton Diner

Although I agree and actually love Fratello's and think they have great food and like it even more that they added on the new indoor/outdoor addition upstairs, I must say I was at Chipotle yesterday for lunch and got 2 burritos, chips with 2 different salsas and 2 drinks with 2 refills with no tip was $17.45

So I can't say its cheaper at all. Quality of the food maybe better at Fratello's but I have never left Chipotle saying I could eat more or I am still hungry.

I will say I am a sucker for Italian food more then Mexican so I would rather have Fratellos any day of the week.

I have only visited Chipotle in high priced CT. I stand corrected on the comparison.

ahhh classic CT. I wish we had a few Chipotles up here. Sadly I only get to have it when I am in Mass for either work or visiting family.

We just went to Chipotle's last week in Boca Raton. It was quite good. It was our first time there.

Per their website, there are three locations in NH: Newington, Manchester and Bedford. Here is a link.

Actually there's two of them in Nashua now.
One near the Pheasant lane Mall, the other is on Amherst St.

Probably one of the only chains I want to come up this far north. The local burrito places just do it for me around here.

I don't know about the one at Pheasant lane, but the other is on Main Street, not Amherst Street.

LOL, I didn't know about the one on Main St.
So there's three in Nashua. The one on Amherst is across from Market Basket.
The one NEAR Pheasant Lane is to the right of Barnes and Noble.

What's the phrase I've seen in other threads? "Pictures please...if no picture, it doesn't exist. "

Not sure where the Amherst St info comes from, they are at 194 Main St, corner of East Pearl St where Villa Banca was, in the Odd Fellows Building.

Default who's on first?!?!

The original Fratellos thread turned into a Chipotle thread... hence the address confusion of where the restaurants are in Nashua...

Fratellos is on Main St in the old Villa Banca location...

Chipotle is both on Amherst St and in the strip mall at Exit 1 diagonally behind Barnes & Noble (next to TD Bank)...

Hope this helps! -PIG
