	 | Time of Wolfeboro July 4th parade??

Can anyone confirm the time of the Wolfeboro parade tomorrow? We have seen conflicting times - 10 AM and 1 PM. Just want to be sure we show up at the right time! Thanks! |

	 | July 4th Parade...

It was a bit confusing. The Laker has shown for several weeks in the "What's Up" section a 10am start. However, an article discussing the 250th anniversary of Wolfeboro mentioned the 1pm time change?!? (same paper, conflicting reports) I called the American Legion and they verified the 1pm start.

I am sitting here watching the backed up traffic and people are stopping to ask me what is going on. Duh! Can't hear the band playing. There is a PARADE! I got a chuckle coming in to work today. people had set up chairs and blocked parking spaces off with folding chairs, towels, ropes whatever. I am pretty sure this is not legal. The street does not belong to anyone. Any way a police car went by and stopped and moved all the chairs out of the street so people could park. Hurray for that cop. There are a bazillion people trying to find parking spaces and these people are blocking them with chairs on the Fourth of July! I should design and build chairs with really long legs so that people can see over the cars parked in the street and sell them at next years parade....I wonder what the liability suits would be like? |
