I just saw Rosie O'Donnell in Wolfeboro.

Whether Rosie reads this or not. None of what is said or excuse me written here is of any surprise here. She at this point has heard it all. Now don't take me wrong I am not defending her, or agreeing with anything she has done, is planing to do, or will do in the future. The simple fact is she is famous, so of course she is sighted in the little town of Wolfeboro and the people need to gossip. If you want to promote the area in a positive light... As some posts here have indicated DONT GOSSIP!!! that is the bottom line.

Famous people have to accept that they are famous and are going to be criticized all the time. But is it fair, do you want every move you make analyzed. Do you want to be able to change your mind and not have people tell you that you are hypocrite.... no of course not, and when we make hypocritical statements most of us realize it and swallow our pride.

You know what most famous people want... they want to be able to go on vacation be left alone and not have to hear the gossip that they face all day long everytime they turn the corner. So they leave New York, Los Angeles or where ever and try to escape...

If you want to paint the Lakes Region in a Positive light DONT GOSSIP!!!!!!

Someone just called me. Well about an hour or so ago. Seems she has a radio show on Sirius radio that just started this week. She was talking trash about Wolfeboro and wolfeboro businesses. mentioned a few by name, but I won't go there. He called to tell me that she went to several places in town to find a room and couldn't stand any of them. She basically called Wolfeboro a pit and all the places she tried to get a room at were horrible and backwards in time. She should have just slept in her car.
I'll have to check her website tomorrow as she has a show recap blog apparently on there. See if she writes anything. I'll post it later if there is. Sorrrrrrrrrrrrrry, there wasn't any lavish Las Vegas Hilton's up here for you Rosie...

Here's what she said today, 12 July, about NH:

Rosie said that she and Chelsea had reservations to stay at a Bed and Breakfast in New Hampshire when they went to visit Parker. She is generally not a fan of Bed and Breakfasts and when they checked out the room where they were going to stay it was full of "antiques" and it was way too hot. They had a hard time finding a place to stay in the little town. Rosie and Chelsea ate at the restaurant in the hotel in town and she said the people there were so nice to them. She decided to turn on the questions on her blog while she as there because they sometimes use the topics people write in to her about for show ideas. When she checked the questions later, a mean blogger named Tom wrote to her and told her how he was at the restaurant at the hotel and he could barely finish his meal because of how fake and horrible she was. Rosie doesn't understand why people choose to be so mean just for the sake of being mean. She also said that everyone in that town was so nice to her and that most people generally are and she doesn't understand why she lets the horrible things a few people say bother her so much.

It was a nice day out today... tomorrow is supposed to be a good one too... Why not go out and enjoy the short summer we have? This is going to be one of those cases of you either love this person or you hate her - it's not worth it...

This is Rosie's view of what happened. She's portraying herself as a victim of bad comments from a person called Tom. Take it with a grain of salt.

I heard it and not what I got out of it at all.....she didn't mention one Wolfeboro business by name in fact she didn't even mention Wolfeboro, just said a small tourist town in NH. She never inferred Wolfeboro was a pit and in fact said how nice the people of NH were. She said she thought she was staying in a hotel NOT a B & B and that she wouldn't stay at ANY B & B no matter where it was, she just doesn't like them! She didn't say that she couldn't STAND any room in town but said because it was such a busy weekend she couldn't FIND any room in town that was available. BTW I have Sirius radio and listened to her program twice today. You can also go to Sirius.com and sign up for a free 7 day internet radio trial and listen for yourself. Thanks, I felt this needed to be said.
