Boomer's By The Bay (Panama Bill's)
We finally tried Boomer's tonight and we having been missing a great spot. Not only is the bbq terrific, as others have said, but the menu includes a variety of seafoods prepared several ways and a wide selection of specialty sandwiches and dinners. I tried the smoked beef brisket sandwich and it was some of the best I've ever had. My husband went for the baked scallop dinner. I tried one and it was delicious. The "tumbleweeds" are very thinly sliced fried onion rings - do try them. I did not know Boomer's also is open for breakfast. After looking at the breakfast menu, we plan to return soon.
Great food generously served at a good price. I hope more people find this restaurant. You have to know where to look (on the lower level of Paugus Bay Plaza-the brick building with several floors of apartments and ground level covered parking opposite the Margate on Lake Street/Weirs Blvd.) It's a great addition to the area, as I still miss the original Waldo Peppers at the other end of the blvd. |
