Ice Fishing Derby Tickets-Discounted

Hi everyone: As you may know the 2011 Meredith Rotary Ice Fishing Derby will be held the weekend of February 12, 2011. Right now, until November 17, Derby tickets can be purchased online at the Rotary website (www.meredithrotary.org) at a discounted price of $25. Purchase of the ticket (whether now or later) will include a Derby Deals book of discount coupons that can be used at local restaurants, shops, etc. The tickets return to full price of $30 on November 18. We will also be selling shirts/hats on the website starting in November...

I wonder what happens if tickets are pre-purchased and ice is not safe or there is no ice!

Will full refunds be given??

Thanks donnamatrix for the heads up on the discounted tickets. I hope next years derby will be a huge success! Meredith Rotary does wonderful things.

Hi. All ticket sales are final, there are no refunds... but in 31 years, we have never cancelled the derby, and only been forced to change the date one time, due to warm weather. We pushed the date out a week, and everything was super.

How long after purchase should we expect to see the ticket and book in the mail? Thanks!

They should come any day, they were late coming to us from the printer. If you do NOT receive by Nov. 1, send me a PM

Any chance they will cancel the derby like they did the open water derby this spring?

I don't know why they would. There's different species that are targeted in the two derbies.

And the great thing about the derby is that you don't even have to fish to win, they give away $$ every 15 min. and big cash on Sun Night. Just getting a ticket gives you a chance, and supporting a good Club also.
