Bobing for bobbi's
I'll guess a couple get caught out every year but I don't think they usually end up as a hazard. Wave and wind action eventually sweep them, and more likely their pieces, onto shore somewhere. I don't recall finding anything that I would say came from a bob house on my shore though I have seen tree parts and dock pieces. It's these that I've also seen floating about in the lake during early boating season. You definitely want to be on the lookout in April and early May for these barely floating outdrive grabbers.
on a tangent - how many cars, if any, went through the ice this year ? Seems like we had a bumper crop last year and I don't recall hearing about any this season.
