Default Ha ha ha, Mother Nature shows who is in charge!

This is New England... weekend forecast looks nice. I was looking at the ice out page and thought I saw snowflakes on the Front Lawn Cam. You just verified it.

The snow stopped around 5:00 PM. Nothing is left on the ground here.

Whew!

Default sugar frosted trees here

My lawn is covered with white. My deck is covered with about 1/4 inch of snow. I guess the slightly higher in elevation you go the more you get and longer it stays.

My poor sailboat was just uncovered this weekend. She must be cold and confused.

There's nothing left on the ground here at JL on Long Island but for a while there I wondered. I was working on the computer and all of sudden glanced up and saw flurries the size of quarters coming down "WHAT???!!!!" I agree about Mother Nature or is it New England Mother Nature that gently (sometimes not) reminds you who is boss! Cheer up, we could be Denver - remember May 18 here in 2002?

It's Wednesday, 4/13, 9:40 am - anybody out there getting snow flurries today like JL on Long Island is? They alternate between widely spaced flurries to a "flurry" of closer together flurries. I had just looked out my kitchen window, thinking what a gray day this is, almost like snow was coming (there is a certain look to the day when snow is coming). By the time I was in the den on the computer, the flurries were coming down.

Yep, we got the flurries too this morning. And some sleet fell for a short time. Fortunately, everything melted soon after hitting the ground. The temp. here has risen from 32 degs at 7am to 37 degs now. We're seeing some blue sky and sunlight among the clouds, so maybe the temp. will keep rising and melt that ice!
