I find it interesting that bird close-ups show the thin ring of bony structures that protect the margin to the eye. The white part shows best in this picture.
![]() (This picture does have some merit in it. ![]() The same kind of structure is found in reptiles, with whom our little birdies shared the ancient world. ![]() So yes, that little birdie at the bird bath is a distant relative of Tyrannosaurus rex. ![]() |
