Wink Bubs...

...that is freakin' hilarious.

Any chance you've seen (or are a fan of) "Dumb & Dumber"?

If so, you'll know what I mean, if not, you should see it. You may get a chuckle out of it (stupid, sophomoric humor, but humor nonetheless).

I've seen Dumb & Dumber, but I (assuming my username could be a reference?) don't remember a whole lot from it. I started contributing to online forums at age 13 (I'll be 21 this fall) and Bubs has always been my username.

This isn't a vanity plate but I thought it was pretty funny.

Jim Carrey goes across country in a van that looks like a dog and they call it the Shaggin' Wagon.

"Chicks dig it", he says at one point, and it always struck me as funny...told ya it was sophomoric humor...lol.

"My Nissan Versa also has a vanity plate, although it does not really make any sense and I can never come up with an actual reason for getting it! Alas, Kung-POW! This Versa is the fourth car to be graced with the KungPow plate!"

Kung Pow Enter the Fist movie is one of the stupidest, yet funniest movies to ever hit the big screen. For like, maybe a day.

Not lake related but my son, an Army ROTC Cadet at Norwich, just got this plate for his bike. I was shocked it was available.

Why? It's not a swear word...

From Wiki:

Hooah (pronounced /ˈhuːɑː/) is a U.S. Army (and rarely Canadian Army) battle cry used[1] by soldiers and also in use by the U.S. Air Force airmen "referring to or meaning anything and everything except no."

It's all though the movie Scent of a Woman - if you've seen that movie, then you've heard that terms a few dozen times...

Question First Time for Everything!

If you're following this plate around the lake on a weekend, be prepared to stop at every yard sale, and watch about a dozen women go "shopping".

Talking My First Vanity Plate

I finally got my Lake Winnipesaukee themed license plate!

The straight shaft inboard/propeller really helps with our gas mileage.

This rear window is brought to you by Gator Signs of Gilford, along with the Winnipesaukee.com Store and Fargo from the Little Mount thread.

(It may be hard to tell, but that is a Winnipesaukee.com sticker in the upper left corner of the window.)
I think I may be a nerd.

Default Vanity plates

I am fascinated by vanity plates, and all the various attempts to represent the Lake or other surrounding areas. From you, RG, I would expect nothing less than what you have - great job.

(My plate, PCONE, goes back to 1968 !)

I just checked that coolpl8z.com link and "MMMBEER" is now at #25 and "IFARTED" is now at #72.

I used to have a vanity plate that might have made both the "banned in NH" list and the coolpl8z.com list; actually, I'm surprised it doesn't show up on the banned list now. That plate was "QQQQ".

Those that "got it" usually pointed and laughed! The few people that didn't "get it" until I explained it to them laughed once they heard the explanation (my mother was in this group, she thought it was hilarious!). Then there was the one guy that complained to DMV (an elderly person apparently with no sense of humor) and I received a letter from DMV telling me to turn it in and pick something else.

I only had "QQQQ" for about 7 months; the replacement was "-BFD-", my way of retaliating for having to give up "QQQQ". I ended up with "-BFD-" for a few years! The funny thing was, the clerk at DMV that gave me "QQQQ" gave a knowing smirk when I told her what I wanted but she gave it to me anyway!

My current plate is "SCHWING", taken from the movie "Wayne's World".

Default Vanity Plates

My aunt has 'BP 49' which is her initials and the year she graduated from high school. I ask for 'RP 69' which is my initials and the year I graduated. and you would never guess they would not approve because of the 69. Yet I have seen standard plates with 69 somewhere in the numbers.

So I ask for 'RLP13' and they accept! You would think '13' will be criminal but I guess not.

Back in the days I had a Hemi with the plates 'HUMBLE', that will be another story.

Default Banned License Plates....

I haven't seen it myself, but I've been told that there is a large 4X4 in the area with the plate, "BG JNSN". Could either be a tall person named "Johnson", or something else....

Wow, someone doesn't have any sense of humor at all !!!

Sure, some of them don't belong, but I would say more than half are just fine by any normal (normal being the operative word) standard.

Amazing!

What's with the hatin' on "fun" in a couple of different variations? I understood when they wouldn't let me have "FNFUNFN" but what's the problem with "FUN-FUN?" And there was a least one other that mentioned fun in that list of banned plates...

I saw this on a bike at bike week this year. FCKFF I asked him how he got by with it, because I know know that you have to explain what it refers to, and he said he had his grandmother apply for him.

One of my friends has his initials followed by 69 on his bike, maybe it went through because that was his birth year?

One of my motorcycles is L6929 but that came right out of the box in order in Moultonborough.

My son's 91 Dodge pickup is 91CTD (Cummins Turbo Diesel)
