Q
"Any boat powered by a paddle is welcome?"
How about a canoe that is rowed with two oars pretty much similar to a rowing shell? Like ...........does it make any difference to Paddlefest if someone rows a canoe with oars ............ as opposed to paddling a canoe with a paddle.......since it is called Paddlefest......and not Oarfest?

I bet if you had a paddle attached to your "patoot" with duct tape they'ed let you enter. As long as you paid the entry fee!

Thanks FLL (and JP for the laugh)
I have amended the above information to say, "Any boat or float powered by a paddle or an oar..."
New information: Sport and Marine Parafunalia is providing us with a number of paddle boards and a certified paddle board instructor so people can test out the latest water sport craze. Also Mix 94.1 will be broadcasting live from the event. We're very excited to be partnering with both of them. |

Here's Hoping For A Huge Success
There are oodles of paddles around Lake Winnipesaukee, and canoes too.

Well I hope that photo wasn't taken in a No Rafting Zone
But seriously, I hope the organizers know their market, the website says it's $50 per adult to get in and you're expected to fund raise more. That seems a little high for a kayak event. I hope they are successful. Lung cancer work and Dana Farber are great causes. |
