I remember a guy built what looked like a patio but got it registerred as a boat. There was nothing the town could do about it if he never put it back in the water. If the Island Radio put wheels under this structure and registers it as a home-made camper trailer, what are the odds he can get away with it?
Would it have to meet any high-way dimensions? No wide-load permit would be needed since it isn't actually going on a road. Might need a cop to come out and inspect it to be sure it doesn't have VIN but that's the biggest wrinkle I can think of. Remember, trailers only need tail-lights, at night. |
