Just a word about dock decking.I would stay away from aluminum decking. While they are very light and weather very well, the ones I have seen are very noisy. If there will be kids running up and down it,plan for lots of clang, clang, clanging.Maybe there are systems that cushion the decking to stop this problem but do know this can be an issue. My sisters neighbor just put in his aluminum decked dock and the noise from the kids running up and down it is very annoying.
