We appreciate what you do, and recognize that with reduced budgeting, it is even more of a time restraint to get all the navaids out in a timely manner.

Thanks for all you do, and for taking the time to post the info here on Winnipesaukee.com.

Have a great winter, Lt.

In case anybody cares........just between you, me, and the view of the lake....where I live....I can see about six different flasher buoys at once, all from the same location....from way down the end of Meredith Neck close to FL-3....and in my humble opinion.....the new marker flasher buoys.....which have been on the lake for maybe eight years now.....are no-way as nice to look at as the older flashers which they replaced!

Just because something is new, improved and high-tech does not necessarily translate to make it better ........call me a romantic or something.....but the older flasher buoys were much more attractive to look at because.....they had a yellow, candle style light which stayed on for about two seconds.....while the new flashers have a white flourescent style light which only stays on for 1/2 second.

The old flashers had style, grace, and romantic good looks which enhanced the lake view......while the new flasher buoys.....are icy white.....and very brief and to the point.....for a very fast 1/2 second flash. If I had my druthers......the lake would lose the new modern flashers and ..... return back to the old friendly yellow flicker lights with their longer, two-second light exposure.

Thankyou and goodknight!
