I was staying with one of your neigbors back in 2000. There was quite the evening storm with lighting and torential rain! That morning when the sun rise in back of Treasure Island, I got the same effect and I am looking for the picture. In fact my friend has a copy displayed in her cottage the last I knew. Since then I always enjoy my coffee with the sun rising over Alton.

Lots of simply amazing pictures in this thread. This place is absolutely beautiful when it comes right down to it. No place else I'd rather be.

This is my desktop on the home computer. It is kinda old so I should probably take a better one. Taken in Melvin Village...

The first photo I posted was actually a sunrise. I use pics from the lake often for my desk top, from every season. I use this one when I want to remind myself that sometimes it's good to change your perspective on things, to be in the moment and appreciate what is right in front of you.
