Electrolux? Good luck. I have one that the warranty company just ate because of too many repairs. They wrote the store a check to replace it so we got to keep this one and had a new Samsung delivered.
Don't spend too much fixing it as it will bury you over time. My neighbor owns an appliance store and has horror stories about the brand. I am calling tomorrow for a service call on my Electrolux dishwasher. Never again! |

Same thing happened with us Codeman. We bought a new one and it wouldn't cool. We spent the whole summer without it -the guy would come and fix something and it wasn't that-after getting another part and fitting us in the schedule, which always seemed to be two weeks-it wasn't that-another part, another service call, it wasn't that and on and on and on. So we spent from May to October without that refrigerator. I had a little dorm one on the floor in the kitchen and an old one in the garage. So they finally replaced it with a new one and that one had the same problem, it wouldn't cool down. I told them I couldn't go through that whole process again and finally Electrolux gave us a store credit and we got a Bosch which seems to be great. I will never buy another Electrolux either.

Electrolux was a big name in vacuum cleaners so they "suck" for other appliances.

Any appliance older than 10 years probably has an EER (Energy Efficiency Rating) that pales in comparison to a newer model. Electric rates are high enough that a replacement is the logical course to take. You would be very surprised if you look at the amount of usage, old vs. new. The Electrolux is sucking your wallet dry.
