Lake Winnisquam and Newfound Lake

We have a beautiful cottage and dock on Meredith Bay. However, we've decided we need a larger home to accommodate our large extended family. We can't afford a larger home on Lake Winnipesaukee, so we're considering moving to a smaller lake such as Lake Winnisquam or Newfound Lake. I know this is the Winnipesaukee forum, but can anyone provide any information about Winnisquam or Newfound lakes with regards to boating, water quality, marinas and real estate?
