Don't follow people...some don't know where they are and what they're doing..sorry to say..I can't tell you how many times I've seen people go on the wrong side of the buoys, and wave while they're doing it...You'll do great.there's room for everyone
 Presence of mind to ask, tells a lot..good for you and happy boating
